Destination: Canal Winchester is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) economic development organization. Our organizational roots go back to 1998 with the Canal Winchester Downtown Association.
Our mission is: To encourage visitors and community members to discover the historic, cultural, entertainment and business destinations available in Canal Winchester while promoting the historic preservation of the City and maximizing the economic well-being and quality of life for the area.
We accomplish this through management of the city's Travel and Tourism program promoting all major activities and attractions in the Canal Winchester area.
Who is Destination: Canal Winchester?
Destination: Canal Winchester is a nonprofit organization comprised of local business owners, citizens, and community leaders who all share a mission to promote the historic city of Canal Winchester, Ohio. Working together, they create and support initiatives that enhance Canal Winchester’s tourism, fostering community spirit and local pride. Through its efforts, Destination: Canal Winchester strives to make their city a memorable tourism destination for both visitors and locals.
What do we do?
Destination: Canal Winchester hosts several annual events that celebrate the town’s unique culture and bring the community together. These include The Art on the Canal Art Stroll, the Blues and Ribfest, the Farmers' Market, Summer Sundays at Stradley, the Skeleton Competition, and the Reindeer Games. These events not only draw attention to Canal Winchester’s vibrant community but also attract tourists and visitors from surrounding areas, offering them a unique glimpse into the town’s traditions and local charm. Destination: Canal Winchester’s events have become the foundation for groups visiting and engaging with the local culture, adding to the city’s inviting atmosphere.
In addition to organizing events, Destination: Canal Winchester actively supports the promotion of local attractions and recreational activities throughout the city of Canal Winchester through its website and social media.
